Duties to include:
To provide float support to three small fee earning teams, you will be responsible for covering the nominated case handler’s files during periods of holidays / absence; such working being directed by the Operations Manager in advance of any booked leave.
Main responsibilities to include:
- raising enquiries
- issuing contracts
- obtaining searches and processing them
- keeping the clients and files up to date, ensuring good housekeeping.
- Processing mortgage offers
You will be responsible for responding to the case handler’s emails, and making phone calls where necessary, during periods of planned holiday or unplanned absences to ensure matters are progressed as though the case handler were in the office.
During this period, you will be the first port of call for the absence case handler until such time as they return to work. You will be responsible for:
- filing all correspondence on the firm’s filing system.
- ensuring the task list is kept up to date on the firm’s case management system e.g. updating searches, enquiries etc. in order that the case handler is fully appraised of what has happened on live matters during the period of absence;
- assisting with the capturing information / data and uploading it on to the firm’s case management system.
The successful candidate must be able to demonstrate:
- experience of leasehold / freehold and registered / unregistered property work;
- experience of a case management system.
- full proficiency in Microsoft packages
- excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- a positive approach towards client care
- an emphasis on management of quality
- an emphasis on teamwork
- the ability to embrace new technology.
