Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Workshop Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and servicing a range of plant equipment, including excavators, telehandlers, and rollers.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintenance and Repair:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on excavators, telehandlers, and rollers.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and implement solutions.
- Ensure equipment is serviced to high standards and manufacturer specifications.
Servicing:
- Conduct regular servicing to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
- Keep accurate records of all servicing and repairs.
Inspection and Testing:
- Carry out thorough inspections and testing to identify potential issues.
- Ensure equipment is safe and compliant with regulations and standards.
Parts Management:
- Order and manage spare parts and consumables.
- Maintain an organised inventory of parts and tools.
Documentation:
- Complete detailed reports on maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
- Maintain up-to-date records in the maintenance management system.
Health and Safety:
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
Qualifications and Experience for Workshop Engineer:
- Relevant technical qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering.
- Proven experience in maintaining and repairing plant equipment.
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Valid driving license.
